The record for the longest Madhubani painting measuring 108 metre and was set by Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan (Department of Art and Culture, Government of Bihar), Madhubani, Bihar, India, on 15 August 2026. The attempt comprised a continuous Madhubani painting created to commemorate India’s Independence Day, depicting an extensive visual narration of the Ramayana in the traditional Madhubani art style.
